Peanut oil
Peanut oil is pressed or extracted from peanuts. Refined oil is relatively neutral; unrefined oil can have a more pronounced peanut aroma.
Caribbean uses
It can be used for sautéing or frying when the product is intended for that heat. In a dressing, use a labeled culinary oil whose flavor suits the salad.
Preparation and storage
Keep capped away from heat and light. Do not assume suitability for a peanut-allergic guest; confirm the exact oil and guest requirements before use.

At the table
A suitable oil carries seasoning evenly instead of competing with the food.
