Cherry tomato
Cherry tomatoes are small tomatoes with a high proportion of skin to juicy flesh. Ripeness determines their balance of sweetness and acidity.
Caribbean uses
Use them in fresh salads, on skewers or roasted beside fish. In a Caribbean-inspired salad, lime and herbs complement the juice rather than replacing the tomato flavor.
Preparation and storage
Wash before cutting and remove stems. Halve larger tomatoes for seasoning; quarter them when serving young children.
